This is my photographic blog, which displays some pictures I like to share with friends, family, and whoever is interested in discovering the World through my eyes. It is an alternative to facebook / flickr, which I find quite impersonal and which focus more on quantity than quality.
I’m Flo, I’m 25 years old and I quit my job in March 2009. I took a few months off to sort things out in my life and discover what I really want to do. In 2010 I moved to Canada and I’m now doing some freelance work around Vancouver. This allows me to work when I want, but mostly from where I want! Thanks to this flexibility and mobility I travel a lot! I also love taking pictures and sharing them on the web, which is why I’ve created this website.
This website was launched in April 2009, with the intention of turning it into an active online photographic portfolio. It has been running smoothly for a few months now and more functionality has been added.
Well, I’ve added a bit of functionality to this site recently, including Google maps to locate my pictures. I would like to get more into the Google API and try to maybe integrate some features from Google Earth in the blog. Furthermore, my next investment will be a GPS tracker for my camera, which will allow me to exactly locate where my pictures were taken. I’d also like to “sell” my idea to other photographic amateurs, which would allow them to have a nice clear functional online showcase for their work.

Hey, Flo.
I’m Mary, from Brazil. My boyfriend and I found your blog because of the map you created on gmaps. We’re planning a trip to Chile for next year. Our story is a lot like yours. He is a journalist, I work with media and we are currently “unnenployed”, planning this trip in order to produce internet content about the places we visit.
Do you have any tips or advices for us? Thigs like what to take, places to stay, that would be very helpful.
