Cherry Awesome
Ok, it’s normally ‘cherry blossom’ – but since Canadians are so keen to use the word ‘awesome’, I thought I would rename this yearly phenomenon as CHERRY AWESOME!
This photo is taken about a block from my flat in Mount Pleasant, Vancouver. While it’s May now and these are supposed to blossom early in the season, this year’s appalling cold and rainy weather in Vancouver has disrupted the natural cycle of things.
It’s great though as at the moment the whole city is coming to life. Leaves and flowers are growing, providing with an explosion of colors! Hopefully the warm weather will follow soon – it’s still less than 10C most days…
