Cypress Mountain
So I took a bunch of pictures from this awesome afternoon in Cypress, but it was kind of hard to pick one to feature on here.
I think this one is probably the most suitable. It depicts 3 distinct features of this place:
Firstly, it’s set at night. The first time you’re driving to Vancouver you will see these lights from a distance and wonder what they are. Well, it’s either Cypress or Grouse Mountains. Secondly, there is snow! Yes, it snows up here, and rains in the city. The snow / rain line is very clear as you’re driving up, as all the sudden there is over a meter of snow on each side of the road! Last but not least, the proximity to the city. You’re skiing and it feels like you could ski all the way into Vancouver.
Truth is, the view is fantastic from up here and I highly recommend it as a day trip on a nice day in Vancouver.
