The Georgia Straight
The skies have finally cleared out for this beautiful Sunday afternoon in Vancouver.
I took this opportunity to come out of the flat and go photo-hunting. My plan was to get to Point Grey, a nice neighbourhood of Kitsilano, and find a spot from the seawall to capture the moment.
As I was timelapsing, I realised there were a couple of boats at anchor in the Straight of Georgia. Since the night was coming down and the clouds were gaining the dusk colours, I thought I’d try and capture (at maximum zoom with the 18-200mm lens) those two boats, with the sunset at the back.
I’m really happy with this shot as I feel it represents very accurately what one sees looking out West from anywhere on the seawall here in Vancouver!
