Vancouver Giants

Story

On the last day of my parents’ visit to BC, I thought I would make them ‘endure’ one last final Canadian tradition: Hockey.

The Canucks (Vancouver’s NHL team) were playing last night at the Roger’s Arena in downtown Vancouver, but with tickets priced $80+ I thought maybe the Giant’s game at the Coliseum would be sufficient (and it’s only $24 per person).

It was our first Hockey game and I must admit it’s much more fun than watching it on TV! The crowd is awesome, the music is loud and the players give quite a show. To top that up, you actually get to see the puck, as opposed to on TV when it can be hard to spot that small black circular thing, especially on a smaller TV.

So yeah, all in all, I think this has given me the taste to attend an NHL game in the near future. I guess my bank account will just have to suffer the consequences!
