Yaletown Marina

Story

It’s been a while since I wrote on whereisflo.com, things have been a little busy around here, with the end of the season, people visiting and working hard towards the summer…

This is a shot I took of the Yaletown marina (Yaletown is the posh area of Vancouver, aka Yuppietown, derogative term for wealthy / arrogant young professionals…) on one of the first days of Spring here in Vancouver.

The water here is always so calm and by boosting the contrasts a bit in B&W I managed to get this really nice shot of the buildings, the boats and the sky.

Here’s a piece of information, for those who might be interested in visiting Vancouver in this season (April) – at least this year, it’s been very cold and wet, with very little chance to enjoy a nice warm spring day. As I’m writing this post it’s just getting there, but with temperatures still below the 20C, we’re starting to suffer from a case of post-winter depressive disorder :)
