Cirque du Soleil

Story

Today I joined my friend Al and his MDM (Masters of Digital Media) crew to Québec City, to watch the famous show Cirque du Soleil. My friend is working on a project with a Québec company called One Drop, which was sponsoring the show, promoting the importance of water in the cycle of life.

The show was very good, although, after reflexion, I thought it lacked a bit of a story line, or some sort of progression. The acts were extremely good and the artists very talented, and some of the tricks they pulled were truly bluffing. It was just difficult to understand whether there was supposed to be some sort of conducting wire to the show, or at least I completely missed it, if there was one.

This shot was actually taken outside, after the show. It was from another ‘Cirque du Soleil’ show, which took place outside, and was watchable from the street! It was set up just below the onramps that lead into Québec City, which made the whole atmosphere of the show seem even more surreal.

This picture shows the motion of one of the guys who was holding on to a cable, going up and down and pulling in-the-air tricks. You can spot the Hilton Hotel in the background, landmark that most Québécois will remember.
