Holding the Danish flag

Story

I have finally made my way up North all the way to Copenhagen, capital of Denmark, to visit my beloved girlfriend, who is working here for a couple of months over the summer!

First impressions are that it’s a really beautiful and peaceful country. Already from the plane it looks amazing: with islands, bridges, boats and country houses everywhere.

I’ve only been here for 24 hours so impressions are still pretty young. All I can say right now is that Danes are proud to be Danes and surely they have some right to be, as their country has (apparently, can’t remember the source of this…) been voted as the happiest country in Europe!

I though I would share this happiness by embracing the culture and holding the Danish flag, which is one great symbol of Danish patriotism – they use it for many occasions, including greeting their peers at the airport (or so I’ve been told!)
