Montpellier – Fête de la Musique
I happen to be quite lucky and be to be in Montpellier just when the famous “fête de la musique” is on!
This musical fest happens on the longest Monday of the year. It is to commemorate the shortest night, and the middle point of the summer. From now on, days will be getting shorter!
In Montpellier, they had closed down pretty much the entire city, and held concerts at almost every block. This particular concert was somewhere in the back streets. It’s wasn’t the busiest one, but surely held one of the best French bands I’ve listened to in live for a while.
I’ll post a recording from my phone when I get a chance. And if anyone knows this band’s name, please post it in the comments, as I’d love to get some of their music!
