My French Office

Story

I’m staying for 2 days at the Domaine des Étoiles, an english-run self-catering house in the south of France. Working in this astonishing environment, surrounded by vast hills, fields and mountains.

It’s located between the Montagnes Noires and the Pyrenees, in the Vallée de l’Aude. This valley is a weather channel for wind and precipitation, originating from the Pyrenees and making its way to the Mediterranean Sea.

This gîte (as we call it in French) is run by Steve, who you could describe as a hairy biker, who actually doesn’t ride bikes. He’s very much integrated within the French culture and loves his French wine and food.

Highly recommend stayin here, the house is lovely and so is the food!
