Spring Snow

Story

Today we had quite a big snow storm, with about 25cm of fresh powder accumulating on the slopes.

This is quite unusual at this time of year, since it is already Spring and we are almost in April!

We went down this slope, where I experienced the first white out in my life. You could not see further than about 10m, and couldn’t tell the difference between the sky and the ground, or whether you were going left, right, down or up. It was truly very tricky to get to the bottom of this slope.

Thankfully, it all cleared out in the afternoon and we had 30cm of fresh powder (on the slopes!) to play around with. Needless to say it was a great day for riding :)

I almost went over a cliff in a whiteout a few years ago. Bit scary. I soiled myself a little. Was warm at first then just messy :/
