The baby Taj
We made it to Agra, after our train got delayed by 4 hours due to the terrible accident that occurred in West Bengal, where more than 60 people died. This just reminds you that you are in India, where not everything is always up to scratch in terms of Safety and Transport.
On a brighter note, we got here OK, after a 14 hours overnight train journey, and our first impressions are that this city is a lot more modern than Varanasi. Roads are good, and there are even sidewalks for you to walk on!
As we’ve got 2 days to stay here, we’re taking time today to just visit the Baby Taj (pictured here) and cross the river Yamni River to get a distant view of the Taj Mahal. Already, we’re very impressed by the beauty of this city, just by sitting around in our Auto Rickshaw.
The baby Taj was a great introduction to the big Taj, but we can’t wait to actually see the real thing tomorrow!
