Gateway to India and Hotel Taj Mahal
This picture is probably the most famous one from Bombay, notorious for the attacks on the hotel a few years ago. We’re very lucky with the weather today as it’s monsoon here and as you can see the sky is completely blue!
The Gateway to India was built to commemorate the 1911 visit of King George V (British) and completed in 1924. The Palace was built in 1903 by the Parsi industrialist JN Tala, as a response to having been refused entry to one of the European Hotels of the City.
These sights are truly incredible and highly contribute to the style of India’s colonial influence.
