Durban Beach Waves South Africa

Big waves

Story

We went to the beach today, on the Sun Coast of Durban (that’s the South coast of Durban). At this geographical point, we are still in the Indian Ocean, so the water is pretty warm, and the waves are pretty big, as seen here. There were loads of people doing some surfing / bodyboarding but it was a bit far to get a decent shot (even though I tried!). I did have fun trying to bodyboard for the first time in my life, which was very cool and also very tiring! The currents are quite strong and the strength of the waves shatters you after a few minutes. Good exercise though, and I definitely want to try surfing soon!
