top of villarica volcano
Charles and Flo have climbed Villarica!
The summit of this volcano is at 2847m. We started at an altitude of 1400m, so did an ascension of about 1400m, in about 3 hours. The hike up in the snow was very comfortable, except for the heavy winds which started blowing for the last hour of the ascension.
The view at the top was absolutely amazing. Unfortunately the volcano was smoking today so we couldn´t see the lava in the trough. But it was probably one of the highlights of our trip to South America. It felt like we were on top of the World!

Looks like you’re both standing on a humpback whale breathing out on a very cold morning!
And judging from your faces, he has bad breath.
