Pai River Rafting

We booked a 2 day rafting trip in Pai to get all the way to Mae Hongson, which is a mere 65km away on the river from Pai.

I was told by one of the hosts in our beautiful guesthouse to go for Pai Adventures, a rafting company owned and runned by a French man of the name of Guy (of course!). So we did!

There are a lot of picture from those 2 days, but I think the highlight of the rafting was cliff jumping, as shown in this picture. The water was still pretty shallow for this time of the year but still enough to jump from quite high rocks.

This is highly recommended if you go to Pai as it was a real good experience, especially eating and sleeping in the jungle with local thai people. Needless to say we shared a few beers with them;) If you are going to Pai a really nice place to stay at is Pairadise, which is just out of the town centre but has a beautiful natural pool and really cheap bungalows, about 400Baht per night!!!
