Dieppe to Newhaven Ferry
After being picked up at the train station in Amiens, we drove with my friend Sandra and b/f Simon to Dieppe, to get the Ferry back to the UK, and more specifically to Newhaven, about 20 miles from Brighton.
The ferry takes longer than the normal Calais – Dover route (approx. 4 hours) but it’s a much nicer boat with comfy seats, TVs and nice views on the Channel Sea.
At about 6pm we witnessed the sunset on the sea, with beautiful stormy skies. We usually attend this scene from the seafront in Brighton, so it was nice to see it from a different perspective.
The route is highly recommended, as it only costs GBP20 to cross as a pedestrian.
