Kingston Village
Yesterday we went for a walk in the Downs of East Sussex, with a bunch of photograph-amateur friends.
The village where this picture was taken is called Kingston-Near-Lewes. It is close to the village of Lewes, where the bonfire is being held every year.
It’s one very nice authentic English village, with beautiful houses, and of course a really old pub called the Juggs.
This shot was taken just as we were getting to the top of this hill. The photographer is Xav, my ex-flatmate from University, who’s a keen photographer. I like to take pictures of people taking a picture themselves, it gives life to the shot…
The view is of the estuary just to the South of Lewes, where small floods form after heavy rainfalls (it was raining all week last week!). The colours are pretty grey and horrible, but that is the kind of skies we get in the Winter here. It does feel like Spring is on its way soon, as temperatures are starting to rise again.
