Colorado Desert
After driving about 2 days from Minneapolis, we finally make it to our next stop: Colorado.
The drive into this State from the West is not as expected: the plains at the foot of the Continental divide are pretty much desertic. There really isn’t much around this side of Colorado, and suddenly the weather gets really warm.
We drove through stereotypical Western abandonned towns, with populations probably just over one hundred.
At the back of this photo you can just about see the Rocky Mountains, and Denver is just before the elevation begins on this new land of discovery.
