Gotham City
Finally made it to Chicago! After all these years of wanting to see this place, it’s done! One of the only big cities in the US I’d never been to, and I must say I was impressed!
It’s big, yet it’s calm. Downtown is full of skyscrapers, and it’s beautiful. The central Millennium Park next to Lake Michigan is truly impressive. The city has a serene and dynamic feel to it. People seem happier than in other places. Most of all, they love their city. “Chicago this…”, “Chicago that, “Did you know that Chicago is the only city in the World where….” they’re happy to praise the place at any occasion.
Their night life is good, their deep pan pizza isn’t so good. The Chicago L (skytrain) is very cool, and bends around the city like it’s going through a maze. Every part of the city seems to be accessible thanks to public transport, and some suburban areas have the L crossing their streets out of nowhere, probably not to the joy of houses near the tracks.
Chicago is one of those places I’d definitely come back to and stay in a bit longer, or even work, if the opportunity ever arises. Plus, after a few beers with our couchsurfing host Sean, we came up with a couple ideas for startup businesses, so who knows, I might be back soon!!!

oua- ouh !
A bientôt. Biz Mum
