Mount Baker

I recruited 4 people from CS and my friend Anne-Marie to go to Baker this weekend. With a van-full, we set to drive down to Baker (just across from the border with the US) for an epic day of riding, in the resort that claims having the biggest snowfall in the whole of the US.

Super excited discovering a new resort and new people, all motivated to get to the snow!

The resort is actually great, and cheap! About 30% cheaper than Whistler in general and just an extra hour’s drive from Vancouver, mainly due to the fact you have to cross the border with the US.

Not so much powder, but definitely enough snow to try out my new snowboard, which I’ve fallen in love with. After 4 years of riding an ex-Burton rental board, and several problems with my straps, the new board is a little piece of heaven, with its amazing grip and knife-sharp edges. Needless to say there will be more shredding in the future.
